So,this is blogging!! Years ago i set myself the task of keeping a diary of day to day events. All went fine for several weeks untill the thoughts dried up and then it became a chore, something that had to be done because otherwise i would be letting myself down.Eventually even that thought wasnt enough and i gave up. Now,this is much more interesting. The thought that people all over the world can read this and maybe even relate to it is quite mind blowing.I suppose Im creating my own "fifteen minutes of fame". I wasnt sure what to write about.Looking at the various topics didnt inspire me,I didnt feel that i knew enough about any of them to grab some ones attention for more than a few seconds. So in the end I decided just to "go with the flow",put my everyday thoughts down on "paper" and see what happens. You may find that I moan about things that annoy me,talk about my job,my family or whatever. But,surely thats what everyone does.Thats real life and it beats bottling things up.It may even help, they do say a problem shared is a problem halved! I suppose the main topic at the moment is the weather, apparently we are due for our 2-3 days of "proper" winter at any moment.Over the last week or so there have been countless news reports about how severe it is going to be.We are assured that an army of gritters are on standby with the latest in high tech gadgetry to ensure that the salt is spread in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.we are given advice on how to equip ourselves if going on a journey, how to keep warm at home etc etc. Why do we need to be told all this? Are there realy people out there who need to be told to dress in lots of thin layers and to keep blankets etc in their cars? I know that proper winters are a thing of the past but surely common sense prevails when the temperature drops,or at least it should do!I know if Im sat at home and feel chilly I turn the fire up or put a jumper on,I dont need to be told about it every time I turn on the telly.

Im also starting to enjoy the wonders of Blogging. I never kept an online journal before, but when I found out about Joeuser's features, I signed up right away. It's one venue to just let your thoughts flow freely. Haha! My reply would sound more of a testimonial from a local Home TV Shopping channel. lolz!
